What quality should i save my disney photo pass photos in? Medium (140KB) or High (5MB)

    Hiya Andrea!

Welcome to planDisney! I just had a conversation with my brother-in-law this weekend about this topic as I helped him download over 100 photos from his last trip to Walt Disney World a few weeks ago! He had purchased Memory Maker for the first time and was excited to use it throughout the Parks. He had so many amazing photos of his whole family that I can't wait to see them on their annual Christmas card!

When downloading images I always ask what is your final goal for these pictures and how much space you have on the device they are being saved on. If you are just downloading onto your phone to post online to social media or share with friends then Medium resolution is fine. If your goal is to print then I would save at High resolution. For myself, I save my images as Medium on my phone and High on my laptop. I want to save space on my phone and just post and text people images at Medium resolution which is perfect. They send and load quicker and look great. However, when I'm making a photo album for keeping my memories in the physical world I make sure to use High Resolution as I want it to be crystal clear when printed. I also have a lot of space on my laptop to handle all the files.

While recently reviewing my pictures during my most recent trip I found that I was missing some images from my son's first time experiencing TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise. Since I was still in the Parks I visited the main Disney PhotoPass office and spoke to a Cast Member who helped me search for the photos I needed. They also informed me that when I returned home I could also reach out to Disney PhotoPass via email at DisneyPhotoPass_support@DisneyWorld.com or by phone at 407-560-4300. They are open Monday through Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM EST.

As a handy resource, the PhotoPass offices in the Parks that can help answer questions and find any missing photos right away are located here:

    - Magic Kingdom Park- Town Square Theater
    - Disney's Hollywood Studios- Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind
    - EPCOT- Pin Traders- Camera Center
-Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park- Garden Gate Gifts

They are so helpful and I'm glad to finally have all my memories to share! I hope this helps and if you have any more questions please feel free to let me know!

    Happy Planning!
