Hiya Princess Anne!
Welcome to planDisney! Here, we believe in magic, celebration, and making memories with loved ones every chance you can! I visited Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate my daughter's first birthday a few years ago and I was so glad to have made special memories that we still look back on to this day! Here are my ideas based on my last decade of traveling with my babies.
Magic Kingdom ParkThis is the best park for little ones in my humble opinion as it has the most attractions with no height requirements. I would spend
two days here as it is large and will take time to enjoy. I would highly recommend getting a personalized Mickey Ear Hat embroidered with your little prince's name at
Curtain Call Collectibles on Main Street, U.S.A. It will be such a special keepsake for years to come.
Some attractions and entertainment you should not miss are:
- Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- "it's a small world"
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- Under the Sea- Journey of The Little Mermaid
- Walt Disney World Railroad (great nap inducer)
- Peter Pan's Flight
A special birthday meal location I recommend is
The Crystal Palace which is a Character Dining experience with a buffet. You will meet Winnie the Pooh and his friends who I have found to be just adorable with little kids. Another fun option is Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort nearby. If you do reserve a table-service meal, make sure to consider adding a
celebration cake to your reservation when booking for an additional cost. They are Mickey Ear Hat-shaped and delicious. Imagine your son wearing his hat while enjoying this! Leftovers fit well in the Resort room cooler for evening snacking for mom. (Trust me)
Disney's Hollywood StudiosConsider
one day in this Park. Some attractions that should not be missed are:
- Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
- Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy
- Disney Junior Play and Dance!
- For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
The best dining option for a little one here is Hollywood & Vine which is another character dining experience with a buffet. Remember that your little one can dine for free at these buffets as they are under the age of 3 and there are so many choices for them to try that are safe.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme ParkI would again suggest
one day in this Park over EPCOT only because there are animals!
Don't miss:
- Affection Section
- Maharajah Jungle Trek
- Na'vi River Journey
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
A great Resort for your situation is stroller-friendly and convenient to the Parks. Anything that has a Monorail Station or Disney Skyliner Station would be perfect as you can just roll right on with no folding of the stroller for most Park visits.
My top two suggestions are:
-Disney's Contemporary Resort: within walking distance to Magic Kingdom Park and has a Monorail Station
-Disney's Pop Century Resort: a great value and has a Disney Skyliner station.
I hope this helps and I would love to keep helping you so
reach out!
