Welcome to planDisney, Beate! I am so glad you stopped by with this question as the Disney Parks on both coasts are my homes away from home.
Even though there are many similarities between
Disneyland Resort and
Walt Disney World Resort, when it comes to tickets, hotels, parking, and food, nothing is interchangeable. The parking pass you have for Disneyland will need to be exclusively for Disneyland Resort area parking. However, if you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel you will have
complimentary parking at your hotel as well as at the theme parks. Amazing, right?
Speaking of parking, one feature in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App is called Car Locator. You can enter the location of your car at any theme park and it will help you remember where you parked. We tend to see people wandering all over the parking lots looking for their cars when this handy feature is magically in the palm of your hand.
Beate, I know you are going to have the best time. The big question after your trip will be, "Which do you like better: Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort?" Please feel free to
write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
