Welcome to planDisney, Richard!
Thanks for sending your question our way. We're happy to assist with everything related to Disney vacation planning. One of my co-workers will also stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando - Disney Springs Area this year. We've been chatting a lot about her family's trip, so I've recently become an expert regarding this property's policies.
While Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando - Disney Springs Area guests enjoy a few perks exclusive to the Walt Disney World Resort Area, complimentary theme park
parking is not one of them. If you choose to drive to the Walt Disney World theme parks, you must pay the daily self-parking rate. To avoid the hassle of driving and the extra cost, I recommend taking advantage of the shuttle service offered by your hotel. Upon check-in, speak to someone at the front desk for a transportation schedule. Alternatively, ride share services like Lyft are readily available in the area.
I hope you have a wonderful stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel, Richard. You'll be just a few minutes away from the exciting shopping and dining experiences at
Disney Springs (where parking is complimentary for all guests!). I can't leave Walt Disney World without a few cookies from
Gideon's Bakehouse. If you plan to visit this unique sweet shop, make it your first stop upon arrival to secure a place in the virtual queue. Looking for a place to dine? There are countless options in Disney Springs, but a few of my favorites are
The BOATHOUSE®,
Raglan Road™ Irish Pub and Restaurant, and
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'.
Quick tip: if you don't have advance dining reservations, use the
My Disney Experience mobile app to check for same-day availability and join the
walk-up list.
Thanks again for coming to see us at
planDisney, and if there's anything else we can do to make your upcoming vacation even more magical, don't hesitate to reach out again. We're all ears!
