Hi there, Daniel!
Welcome to planDisney and we appreciate you stopping by with your question! It sounds like you have a wonderful little group with whom you'd like to visit the Disneyland Resort soon. With the recent announcement that Magic Key sales were going to resume, I'd be happy to help clarify some details for you.
Once
Magic Key Pass sales resume, you are able to apply the cost of a single Theme Park Ticket to
upgrade to a single Magic Key (tickets may not be combined for an upgrade). Since your tickets are not used, they should be eligible for an upgrade. Upgrading an unused ticket must be done at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths. Keep in mind that if you apply a ticket towards an upgrade, the reservations that were associated with that ticket will be lost so you'll need to make those reservations again.
Even if you aren't able to apply the entire amount you spent on your tickets, you are taking advantage of some wonderful discounts. That
Kids' Special Ticket Offer is an incredible deal! If you do decide to purchase Magic Key Passes for your family, I think you'll be very happy with your decision! I've loved mine and it's allowed me to visit the Disneyland Resort repeatedly over the course of the year.
Daniel, I hope I was able to answer your question and help you with your decision. I wish you the best of luck and some pixie dust on getting your Magic Keys! Please return again if you need anything else from us. You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
