Greetings and welcome to planDisney! I am a Disney-loving geek, husband, and father to two wonderful kids. My wife and I are veterinarians at a family-owned small animal clinic on the Monterey Bay Peninsula, where we enjoy the cool, temperate weather of a scenic coastal community. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing and relaxing with the latest video games. I am also a huge tabletop role-playing game fan and love running adventure campaigns for my friends. When I'm not helping my furry patients live their best lives, I'm constantly plotting my next Disney getaway. Being a veterinarian has trained me to be detail-oriented, so I especially enjoy planning trips for my family and friends so they can make the most of their own Disney vacations. On any given day, you'll find me perusing the Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog and making a checklist of all the yummy snacks for my next trip out to the Parks because as Remy would say, "I only want to eat the good stuff!"
About My Family
My wife and I met while attending vet school and we have been happily married since 2004! We have two delightful children who have grown up knowing the Disneyland Resort as their "home Park." We've always called California our home, and through it all the Disneyland Resort has remained within a day's travel for us. We take full advantage of its proximity and I eagerly impart my knowledge about the history and trivia of the Parks to my kids on each trip. I knew my training was complete when I watched proudly as my daughter became the de facto leader of her friends, guiding them around the Parks on her own. Our Disney family adventures have taken us across the country from Aulani to celebrate my wife's birthday to Walt Disney World, where we enjoyed a voyage aboard the Halcyon, Disney's Galactic Starcruiser. No matter where our travels take us, we know that "adventure is out there!"
About My Disney Experience
As a California native, the Disneyland Resort has been a constant presence and core memory in my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Growing up, no summer vacation would be complete without a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. I was the sugar and adrenaline-fueled child who dragged their parents from attraction to attraction, attempting to experience as much as possible until the Park closed. As an adult, I began to view the Resort in a different manner, appreciating the attention to detail and special touches I hadn't noticed before. When raising my kids, I rediscovered that sense of wonder as I saw the Parks through their eyes and knew that there truly is something for all ages at the Disneyland Resort. Walt Disney once said that "there should be something built where the parents and the children could have fun together." Disneyland and Disney California Adventure embody the legacy of that vision and I couldn't be more proud to represent Walt's original Park!
