Planning a trip from May 3rd to 11th at Animal Kingdom Kidani. My use year is in December and I have banked my 25 from 2023 to now have 225 for 2024. We will need to borrow some from 2025. I know that my 7 months is October 3rd. Will I be able to book

Welcome Home, Todd! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. It's always a treat to meet a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'm so pleased to help answer your question today.

Banking and borrowing are serious DVC business, and I know I always double- and triple-check my Vacation Points math whenever we're planning our next Disney adventure. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is such a great spot! We enjoyed our first vacation there earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Kidani (like many of the DVC properties) is a resort where you should plan for plenty of time to experience all of the amazing details. Enjoying your morning coffee while watching giraffes and other wildlife wander by is pretty remarkable!  You're also just a short walk or shuttle ride from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House to enjoy the amenities there--it's like two resorts in one.

If my math is correct, Todd, you won't be able to book a 7-month stay in October (with the disclaimer that I don't know all of the details of your Membership and how many points you are working with!). You will receive your annual allotment of Vacation Points for your 2024 Use Year on December 1, 2024. At that time, you will also be able to borrow points from 2025 to combine with the 2024 points to make a reservation. My best advice is to call the helpful folks at Member Services, who can pull up your Membership and advise you on options to book something that works for you.

I'm sorry this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but hopefully, you'll be able to find some practically perfect accommodations for your May vacation. Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again. We're always here to help!
