3 of our party of 7 want to make separate dining reservations and sign up for lightning. Does my wife need her own app w/separate email to load her tickets? Right now we share one app.

Hi Raymond! Welcome to planDisney! Coordinating plans for a group of seven can feel like a puzzle, but with a little preparation, the Disneyland app makes it much easier to divide and conquer. As the designated planner for my own family, I'm happy to help!

The good news is that your wife does not have to create her own MyDisney account in order for you to manage dining reservations or Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections for everyone. If all of your tickets are linked to your account, you can make dining reservations and purchase or manage Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the members of your party directly from your Disneyland app by selecting the Guests you'd like to include.

That said, if three members of your group plan to manage their own dining reservations or Lightning Lane selections independently, I do recommend that your wife create her own MyDisney account using her own email address and download the Disneyland app on her phone. Once her account is set up, she can link the same theme park tickets to her account. Having the tickets linked to multiple accounts allows more than one person to help manage plans throughout the day, which can be especially helpful when your group decides to split up for a few hours before meeting back together.

To link the tickets, your wife can open the Disneyland app, tap the menu button in the lower-right corner, select "Tickets and Passes," then tap the "+" icon in the upper-right corner and choose "Link Tickets and Passes." She can either scan each ticket's barcode or enter the ticket ID manually. Once everyone's tickets are linked, both of you will be able to view the group's tickets and help manage reservations from your own devices.

Raymond, I hope this helps you feel confident about organizing your group's plans before you arrive at Disneyland Resort. With a little teamwork, you'll be able to spend less time coordinating logistics and more time enjoying attractions, dining, and making memories together. If any other questions come up as you continue planning, please stop by and visit us again at planDisney!

May your group enjoy a smooth day filled with shared adventures, delicious meals, and unforgettable Disneyland memories!
