    Hello Panel! I am interested in getting an annual pass to WDW for a family vacation planned for 2025. Would I be able to purchase an annual pass, now at the current price, but wait until our vacation to start the 1year count down for my annual pass?

    I am excited to hear that you have decided to become an Annual Passholder at Walt Disney World! I just bought mine last week and can't wait to activate it on my next vacation. 

    When you purchase a Disney World Annual Pass you will immediately see it in your My Disney Experience account under "Tickets and Passes." The date will be listed as the date that you purchased the ticket but that will change when you enter a theme park for the first time. Once you enter a theme park for the first time with your annual pass, it will be considered activated and your one-year timeline for use will begin. You have 1 year to activate your pass from the original date of purchase.

    The best part of being a Disney Annual Passholder is the discounts and special offers associated with your pass. My favorite one is the discounted room rates offered at different times throughout the year! You can book your room using this discount as soon as your tickets show up in your My Disney Experience account. I recently used this discount to book a trip in March when I plan to activate my Annual Pass.
