Hi Ashley,
Birthdays at Walt Disney World are the absolute best! We have done birthday celebrations for both of my children at Disney World and it is one of my favorite memories. Once you arrive at your resort hotel or one of the theme parks, make sure to stop by Guest Services to pick up a celebration button. They will write "Happy Birthday" on her button and everywhere you go cast members and other guests will send her birthday wishes all day long.
A birthday cake is an absolute must-do!
Amorette's Patisserie has some of the best cakes I have ever had. They do specialty petite cakes that are great if it is a small celebration. These cakes have multiple layers of cake, icing, and filling that will make your mouth water. If you have a larger party sharing in the fun, make sure to
add a cake to your dinner reservation. These cakes are made at Amorette's and are delicious! You can have "Happy Birthday" engraved on it to make the celebration extra special.
Speaking of adding a cake to your reservation, I highly recommend celebrating with a character dining experience. A great celebration option is
Cinderella's Royal Table so that she can get pictures with all of the princesses. If you plan to meet several characters, bring a birthday card and have them all sign it. After you get all the signatures you want, you can stop by the Main Street Chamber of Commerce in
Magic Kingdom and they will stamp it with a special "Mailed from Main Street" stamp that is unique to this location only. It is a great souvenir for her to keep so she can always remember this special birthday celebration.
My favorite way to celebrate a birthday at Disney World is by experiencing one of the
Enchanting Extras options. One of the most unique options is the
Wild Africa Trek where you get to go behind the scenes at Animal Kingdom and get up close with the wildlife. There is nothing like walking over the rope bridge with crocodiles hanging out below you!
Happy Planning
