Magicband+ won’t turn on no matter what I do. It’s charged in the past but with my trip in two days I went to turn it on and nothing happened. Then tired to put it on the charger and nothing. Can’t reset it since it won’t turn on. What can I do to fix it?

Welcome to planDisney, Matt! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation will be here before you know it, so I'm sure you're busy packing your Mickey Mouse suitcase. I'm sorry to hear your band isn't being very magical, so let's do a little troubleshooting. I'd feel lost without my MagicBand+, so let's get started.

One of the reasons I love the MagicBand+ is that it's rechargeable. But if yours hasn't been used for a while, its battery might be depleted. My first tip is to make sure your band is seated snugly on the charger; you'll feel a snap when it's made contact. I once learned this the hard way when I thought my band had been charging all night. Once securely attached to the charging base, give it several hours to charge. I'm wishing on a star that this is all it takes to get your band ready for some fun in the parks!

You can also check out the tips on the website, but it sounds like you've tried to reset your band already. If you still can't turn it on, I recommend you call the My Disney Experience/MagicBand line. They will walk you through some steps to get you back in business. My final tip is to bring your MagicBand+, even if it's not working. Stop by Guest Services at any theme park entrance; maybe they can try some tricks in person or offer an alternative.

Did you know that even if your MagicBand+ isn't charged, it can still function as your theme park ticket and Disney Resort hotel room key? The charging feature mainly impacts the band's lights, haptics, and ability to link to PhotoPass photos. When mine didn't charge overnight, it still functioned as my room key, admission, and Lightning Lane entry.

Finally, I'd like to mention Disney MagicMobile service. This feature turns your mobile device into your theme park ticket and more! Several of my panelist pals have switched from bands to MagicMobile service. I've done both, and I'm not quite ready to give up my MagicBand+, but using my phone is a convenient backup.

Matt, I'm sprinkling pixie dust over your MagicBand+ and hoping it springs to life for your trip. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
