We have made a deposit on an Adventures by Disney SoCal trip November 2024. Can our MagicBands be linked so we can make dining reservations during times that meals aren’t provided? Also we want to purchase Genie+ or Multipass) during on your own time

Hello there, Catherine, and welcome to planDisney. My name is Al and I'll be your chief flight attendant today. We'll begin boarding in a few minutes, but first I'd like to acquaint you with some important planning information.

How wonderful that you're about to take a luxurious Adventures By Disney trip to the Disneyland Resort and Southern California! I've heard so many great things about this itinerary throughout the years and I know that you're going to have a fantastic time!

You ask some great questions and I love how forward thinking you are about your vacation! I called and spoke to a Vacationista at Adventures By Disney to get more details about your specific trip. Let's tackle your dining question first. I'm happy to report that, at the Disneyland Resort, all you need is a MyDisney account and a credit card in order to make a dining reservation. That means that you don't need to have a MagicBand+ or Theme Park Ticket linked to your account. According to your itinerary, you'll be on your own for Dinner on Day 4 and Lunch on Day 5. Just be sure to check for the dining reservations you want 60 days in advance of each of those days!

Okay, are you ready for some great news? As you know, included with your vacation is a 4-Day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper Ticket, but that's not all! You'll also have 10 Lightning Lanes per person pre-loaded onto your Ticket that you may use between Days 4 and 5 at the Disneyland Resort! How cool is that? You won't even need to worry about purchasing Genie+ (soon to be Lightning Lane Multi Pass). Talk about white glove service!

Since you mentioned MagicBands, please know that MagicBand+ is the only type currently supported by the Disneyland Resort. You don't actually need it to make dining reservations but it will come in handy while navigating the Parks. Your Adventure Guides will be able to help you link the Band to your Tickets when the time comes.

On behalf of our entire flight crew, thanks for soarin’ over planDisney with us, Catherine! I wish you a truly magical visit to Hollywood and the Disneyland Resort! Please feel free to write back to us if you have any further questions. We're always happy to help!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
