I’m visiting Disney in January. I’m not staying at a Disney resort, but would like to stroll the boardwalk at Disney Springs. Is that something I can do without staying at a Disney resort? Thank you

Hey Howdy Hey Kelly and welcome to planDisney!

One of the best parts about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is the size. There are so many things to experience and explore outside of the parks from any and all of the Disney Resort hotels, Disney Springs and Disney's Boardwalk. One thing is for sure, you will always have something new to see and experience!

Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort are free to enjoy Disney Springs with no resort stay required. You can either drive or be dropped off by rideshare to experience all that Disney Springs has to offer. With all of the shopping, dining and entertainment, this can be a full-day event! One of my favorite places to visit anytime I am at Disney Springs is World of Disney. This is the largest shopping location for all things Disney. They have so many things there you never knew you needed!

Disney's Boardwalk is another popular location to visit without needing a park ticket. Disney's Boardwalk is located right outside of Disney's Boardwalk Inn and is another location with great shopping, dining, entertainment and views! I love a nighttime stroll around the Boardwalk to take in the beauty of the location and to stop by either the Boardwalk Inn or Disney's Beach Club Resort not too far away. You will find Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at the Beach Club and is great for a sit-down meal or to drop by the takeout window for a walk-by tasty treat. You can even find a spot along the bridge that connects the two for a glimpse at the fireworks show in EPCOT if you time it right.

There are so many unique things to do at each location and I hope you have fun experiencing either or both! Stop back if you have any other questions, we always love having an excuse to talk Disney!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
