Hello Monica,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to help answer all your Lightning Lane Pass questions.
Lightning Lane Passes are purchased one day at a time, but you'll be able to select return windows for each day as you complete your purchase. If you are a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest your eligibility window will open 7 days before check-in. If you are staying off-site but visiting with a multi-day ticket, you can purchase for your length of admission 3 days before your ticket start date. If you are visiting with an Annual Pass, you'll purchase for each theme park reservation as you reach the 3-day advance planning window.
Once in
your eligible purchase window, you'll start by selecting your date of visit from the calendar within the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. After selecting a date, you'll be prompted to choose your starting park, and whether you want to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, or both for that particular park. If purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll choose your initial 3 attractions, keeping attraction grouping experiences in mind. The system will give you the first available return windows for each experience, but you can modify them to a different time, subject to availability, before finalizing your selections and completing your transaction.
If everyone in your party plans to ride the same Multi Pass and Single Pass attractions at a particular park, you can complete your purchase as a single transaction, one day at a time. If you have Park Hopper Option tickets and want to purchase Multi Pass and Single Pass selections across different parks (or if only some members of your party want to ride the Single Pass attraction) you'll need to complete these as two separate transactions.
Let's say you
purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Disney's Hollywood Studios and select Slinky Dog Dash, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Mania! as your initial 3 experiences, but
also want to ride
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT as a Single Pass selection later that day. You'd first complete the Hollywood Studios transaction and then go back to the starting screen to select the same date and EPCOT for your Single Pass experience.
After redeeming one of your initial 3 Multi Pass experiences you can book additional experiences one at a time, subject to availability, for the remainder of the day. Your first 3 attractions must all be at the same park, but if you have Park Hopper option tickets and want to book a new attraction at a different park, you can do so after redeeming one of your initial 3 experiences. Using the example above you might choose to book Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway after redeeming an experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios, or choose Soarin' Around the World at EPCOT as your next selection. Attractions and return times are always subject to availability, but I'm hopeful you'll get to enjoy plenty of magical adventures at your favorite attractions each day during your visit.
I hope this clears up any confusion, Monica. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
