Hi! I’m planning a trip to Disneyland in August. I’m wondering if I can purchase 3 - 1 day tickets instead of a 3 day pass?

Hey there, Katherine, and welcome to planDisney - the happiest corner of the internet. I love to hear that you're squeezing in a little magic just before the end of summer at the Disneyland Resort. Theme park tickets and park reservations are the bare necessities, so let's chat about options.

There are so many different ways to do Disneyland. The options are endless, right down to how and what kind of park tickets you choose to purchase. You can absolutely buy three separate 1-Day tickets instead of a 3-Day ticket. In fact, there can be benefits to purchasing your tickets this way. For one, the cost can sometimes be lower when purchasing separate 1-Day tickets. And if you want, you can add Lightning Lane Multi Pass (ahead of time) to just one day of your visit instead of having to add it for all days. To purchase 1-Day tickets for different days, you'll need to purchase each ticket in a separate transaction.

Be sure to check out Soarin’ Across America, the newest flight path in Grizzly Peak. This is definitely something that's on my must-do list for my next summer visit. I also recommend catching the Paint the Night parade before it makes its final appearance on August 20th (subject to change). You just might walk away with a catchy tune in your head and I promise, you won't be mad about it.

Katherine, I hope this is helpful as you're putting the pieces together for your upcoming visit. Please come back to see us with any other questions that you might have. Until then, here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
