I have 3 $500 Disney gift cards to use to buy tickets how can I?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Melinda. Having three Disney Gift Cards sounds like a really great problem to have. As a matter of fact, it's no problem at all. Let's chat about how to use your gift cards to purchase your theme park tickets.

While you can only use one Disney Gift Card towards your purchase of theme park tickets, I'm happy to share that there's a way to consolidate your balances to one card. Head to the Disney Gift Card site and click on "My Cards." From here, you can add each gift card and consolidate balances. One gift card can hold a maximum balance of $1,000. Because of this, I recommend combining two of your cards into one with a balance of $1,000, purchasing as many tickets as you can (with the one card) and then heading back to the Disney Gift Card site to transfer funds from your third card and then making an additional transaction for the remaining tickets. If needed, you can use a gift card and a credit card to cover any remaining balance for your purchase.

Once you've added all of your gift cards to your MyDisney account, you can also access them at the Disneyland site or in the Disneyland app to be used as payment for your tickets. When purchasing your tickets at the Disneyland site or in the Disneyland app, you will check the box to "Use a Disney Gift Card," and then you'll see all of your gift cards and will select which one you'd like to use.

If you have any funds left once you've purchased your tickets, you can now easily access your gift cards in the Disneyland app to use during your visit. You can even use them for your mobile food and beverage orders! To do this, tap on "Use a Different Payment Method" at the payment screen and you'll see a list of your gift cards that are available to use. It's easier than saying, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

Or if you want, you can use your gift card to bring home some of the magic with a souvenir to remember your visit. Just open the app and tap the "☰" to open the menu and scroll down to tap "MyDisney Wallet." Next, tap "Payment Method" and scroll down to find all of your Disney Gift Cards. Tap on "Manage" for the card you'd like to use and you'll see a barcode that the Cast Member can scan for your purchase.

Some of these features are relatively new and when I saw the updates in the app, I was so excited. Gone are the days of having to carry my gift cards around with me or even having to copy and paste the card info into the app. Whew. I'm all about convenience during my park visits and this new feature in the app is a game-changer!

Melinda, I hope this has been helpful and gives you the next step to get closer to your magical visit. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with. Here's hoping adventure finds you when you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.
