Kiara,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
My family and I were just enjoying a stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the Thanksgiving break, and the Gingerbread House in the main lobby did not disappoint. Like you, many of the visitors were not guests at that hotel, but people enjoying the tour of resort displays and decorations.
My suggestion would be to start at the Magic Kingdom area resorts, beginning with
Disney's Contemporary Resort. It is easy to get there, by traveling to the Magic Kingdom and hopping on the
monorail. At this first stop, the display is at the foot of the large window wall that faces the park and is near the monorail entrance. Hop back on the monorail to get to stop 2,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This resort is less about a single, iconic display, but just the overall decor. Plus, you can swing in for a Dole whip at the
Pineapple Lanai on the way! Stop 3 on your monorail tour gets you to the Grand Floridian and your gingerbread dreams.
After you have completed your hotel tour, grab a bus from the Grand Floridian to
Disney Springs, and your tree tour will kick into high gear!
BONUS TIP #1The lines for the gingerbread house can get a bit long. Make sure you plan in an extra half hour or so for the stop.
BONUS TIP #2
While it is not easy to get to (you would have to bus there and back from Disney Springs), the tree at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is pretty unique and spectacular.
