About Me
My family and I live in Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. While originally from Columbus, Indiana, I grew up all over the world, including Brussels, Madrid, and Mexico City. My parents showed me the world and helped me fall in love with travel. When I am not busy in my day job, working in educational marketing and brand management in the airline industry, I enjoy traveling with my family discovering other cultures, and exploring the natural world around us.
About My Family
My name is Doug I. and my wife and I have two energetic teen girls who share my love of Disney. We live in Carmel, Indiana, and my wife and I both work in the field of education. Our girls share our love of travel, and they have recently fallen in love with discovering other cultures on Adventures by Disney trips. But there is no question that their favorite vacation destination is still Walt Disney World! They help me gain a perspective on what teens like about the parks, including their list of restaurant, show, and attraction preferences. They are not shy with their opinions!
About My Disney Experience
I have been visiting Walt Disney World regularly since it opened when I was just 5, stopping there every time our family came home to the States during summer break. I have visited more times than I can count, including the trip where I proposed to my wife. For us it is not just about the parks, but the perks too. We love having new restaurants to discover, and we adore exploring the resorts as well. Now, as our teen daughters begin to discover new favorites at Walt Disney World, we can both gravitate to those rides that bring us nostalgic memories from past trips as well as enjoy all-new adventures together as well!
