Hi Christina! I’m so happy to welcome a fellow Virginian to planDisney!
The
fireworks cruise is one of my all-time favorite memories from my many Disney vacations! While the fireworks were the headliner, it was so much more than that for me. It was the combination of cruising across the Seven Seas Lagoon on a warm Florida evening, the beautiful views of Magic Kingdom at sunset, and the peaceful, private setting that made the whole experience magical and truly unforgettable. Reservations open 60 days in advance at 6 a.m., so mark your calendar and be ready to reserve your spot!
If for some reason you are unable to secure a reservation, there are multiple dining locations around the lagoon where you could not only have a lovely dinner but also a beautiful view of the fireworks. A few I would recommend are
Wailulu Bar & Grill in the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort,
Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. I recommend scheduling your dining reservation for at least an hour before the fireworks. When you check in for your reservation, be sure to request seating with a view. It is important to know that seating requests are not guaranteed.
Christina, I’m sending you wishes for many magical moments during your visit to Walt Disney World! If you have any more questions, be sure to
get in touch with me. I’m always here to help and love adding extra pixie dust to your Disney vacation planning!
See you on Main Street,
Casey
