I want to take my girlfriend to disney for our year anniversary, we want to do some rides and just explore, not every ride but we are both adults and whats the best place for that.

Hi Vince! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney. This is such a fun question, so I’m delighted to be able to help you plan an anniversary celebration that is truly magical for you and your girlfriend! What a lucky lady that you are planning this special visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth to celebrate your love for her!

One of the things I love most about Disney is that it is for everyone of all ages! While the rides and attractions are fantastic, there is so much more to discover. Some of my favorite memories are from simply wandering the parks, enjoying the atmosphere, and being with people I love while we're surrounded by so much magic.

Based upon what you’ve shared, I think EPCOT would be a perfect location for your anniversary celebration! It is a wonderful blend of attractions, beautiful scenery, incredible food, and opportunities to explore together. Be sure to spend time strolling through the World Showcase, sampling snacks or drinks from different countries, and perusing the shops for international treasures. It’s the perfect place for a more relaxed pace and just enjoying each other’s company! Since you'll be arriving in December, you'll also get to enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which adds even more to enjoy throughout the World Showcase and loads of seasonal charm!

Of course, you wouldn’t want to overlook the other parks, too! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is another place to enjoy a slower pace and simply take in the atmosphere. If your girlfriend enjoys nature and animals, this is the place to be! Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a great mixture of attractions and entertainment, and Disney Jollywood Nights would be a fun way for the two of you to get dressed up for a holiday celebration!

However, no visit to Walt Disney World Resort would be complete without a visit to Magic Kingdom Park! Just imagine walking down Main Street, U.S.A. hand-in-hand, standing in front of Cinderella Castle, and then ending your night with an enchanting time together under the fireworks. What a truly romantic day that would be!

While we’re thinking of ways to make this visit romantic, how about a celebratory dinner? There are so many options to choose from, but some great choices would be Chefs de France at EPCOT, Narcoosee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. You could also book a special experience in the Enchanting Extras Collection like a fireworks cruise or a horse-drawn carriage ride to really take this celebration to the next level!

Vince, thank you for stopping by and giving me the opportunity to dream up a special anniversary celebration for you! If you have any more questions, please be sure to get in touch with me. I have even more ideas and would love to continue helping you make this celebration practically perfect in every way!

With faith, trust, & pixie dust,
    Casey
