Welcome to planDisney, Chau! I jumped at the chance to answer your question because
Spice Road Table has become one of my favorite restaurants in all of the
Walt Disney World Resort. So let’s dig in!
This restaurant is an underrated gem in
EPCOT. I have always enjoyed both the service and the food here. I’m a big fan of small plates and dishes that I can’t find just anywhere, and this spot really delivers. I especially enjoy the House-made Hummus Fries, the Naan Spread, and the Iced Mint Tea. Both the alcoholic and nonalcoholic versions are delicious. I have also done the
Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package, and let me tell you, it was lovely.
It was a bit chilly that night, and the servers gave us the option to stay outside or go inside to warm up, where they piped in the music from
Luminous The Symphony of Us. We chose to stay outside for the actual show, but went inside for dessert beforehand. While that option may not always be available, it just shows how this restaurant, and Cast Members in general, truly go above and beyond when it comes to service. It was such a thoughtful reminder that Disney magic isn’t just in the fireworks, it’s in the people, too.
There are times when the menu options for a restaurant’s fireworks dining package differ from the
regular menu. If there is a dish you're interested in that is not listed, you are more than welcome to ask your server whether it can be ordered instead of one of the dining package options. The Cast Member will do their best to accommodate your request. Just keep in mind that they may not be able to honor your request, but they will gladly review your options with you if needed. That said, my aunt, who is a vegetarian, dined with us on the package and was very happy with the choices available to her.
The
culinary team at the resort understands that guests have a variety of dining preferences, and in recent years, they have made a strong effort to ensure that each menu includes vegetarian options. In fact, I often order the vegetarian dishes myself!
If you haven’t yet seen Luminous, it is such a unique and unforgettable show. The lights, fireworks, fountains, and
music all come together to create a story about how we are all united in the great symphony of us. I find it incredibly moving. When the show blends “When She Loved Me” with “Remember Me,” it becomes a powerful reminder that the melodies of those we love never truly fade. Call me dramatic (you wouldn't be the first one), but I can feel the lump in my throat right now as I'm writing this.
Chau, enjoy your evening under EPCOT’s shared heartbeat. Be sure to
come back with any other questions you may have. We’re always ready to help your plans come together in perfect harmony!
Feel it in the beat of your heart,
Matt
