Heated pool at Disneyland open May 16-20

    Hi there, Maria!

We'd love to help with your question today. It sounds like you are planning a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, complete with a hotel stay at the Disneyland Resort!

I'm happy to report that the pools at all three hotels on property are heated, so whether you plan to stay at Pixar Place, Grand Californian, or the Disneyland Hotel, you'll be splishing and splashing in comfort. It looks like you may be planning a trip for either mid-May or mid-March, and I do want to note that currently, the pool at Pixar Place is under renovation. While we don't have a reopening date at the moment, Guests are welcome to use the pools at the Disneyland Hotel during their stay. The Grand Californian is also doing a refurbishment of its pools through the end of March, but the work will be staggered and Guests will continue to have access to select pools. The pools are only open to hotel Guests, which helps to keep them bustling but not overcrowded.

In addition to the creature comfort of a heated pool, Guests of Disneyland Resort hotels get to enjoy a few other pixie-dusted perks. For me, the main benefit is Early Entry - 30 magical minutes in the park before opening. You'll want to take a look at the Park Hours ahead of time as only one park per day offers Early Entry. With walking being the main form of transportation from any of the hotels to the Main Entrance Gate, I recommend heading over at least 30 minutes before Early Entry starts. You will see a sign to indicate an entrance just for hotel Guests. You'll just need to show your hotel confirmation via the Disneyland App, and you'll be strolling down Main Street in no time.

All three hotels offer their own special magic. Whether it's diving into the Pixar stories you know and love at Pixar Place or getting swept away in the grandeur of the Grand Californian lobby or traveling back in time to the early days of Walt's Park and all the nostalgia at the Disneyland Hotel, you won't want to leave! Trust me! When you check-in, be sure to ask for the list of hotel activities during your stay. There are always fun and unexpected things on the calendar that we like to make time for during our visit. I often say that the most magic comes in the quietest moments, usually when you are relaxing and soaking it all in back at your hotel.

Maria, we are happy to help with any more questions you might have in your planning here at planDisney. Just give us a shout for tips and tricks and helpful hints!

    Enjoy your magical visit!
