Hi I'm planning a three night Disneyland trip with my daughter this April. I wanted to experience all 3 Disneyland Resort hotels so I booked one night at each of them. Does this make sense or is it kinda crazy?

Hello there, Angela! Your question had me so excited because if booking all three Disneyland Resort hotels for one trip is crazy, then it is 100% my kind of crazy! I am shocked that I have never thought of this! Needless to say, I fully applaud your curiosity and desire to experience all three resort hotels at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Now on to practical matters. Staying at all three hotels during one trip means moving each day, which may cut into your theme park time (unless this is just a non-park visit, which I can also appreciate). I would consider packing light to make moving between the hotels more simple. Additionally, because you've got a night at each hotel, you might want to be flexible with your other plans (dining, park time, enchanting extras, etc.) to accommodate your hotel time. I imagine you will want to explore each hotel and enjoy the amenities, so flexibility is likely key!

Angela, at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, my favorite thing is sitting in a rocking chair by the fireplace in the hotel lobby. There is often live piano music, and experiencing it amidst the Craftsman-style architecture is heavenly. I also love all of the restaurants at this hotel! Storytellers Cafe is a family favorite and, while you didn't mention your daughter's age, the character meals here are great for kids of all ages (and kids at heart). I also highly recommend Tenaya Stone Spa, which is an immersive and calming experience after a day in the parks.

At Pixar Place Hotel, enjoy the atmosphere featuring Buzz, Lightning, and the rest of our Pixar Pals. Like the Grand Californian, this hotel also has a Special Theme Park Entrance (admission ticket and reservation required) into Disney California Adventure Park. Use this entrance during Early Entry which is a special perk for registered hotel guests! Also, check out Pixar Putt and watch the fireworks on select nights from the rooftop pool deck!

Disneyland Hotel has all the nostalgia from Disneyland's early years. Admire the firework headboard in your room, enjoy a drink at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar, and ride the monorail slides at the pool. This hotel also has two of my favorite stores at the whole resort - Disney's Fantasia Shop and small world Gifts & Sundries - so I highly recommend grabbing your souvenirs while you are here! And while Disneyland Resort dining is a passion of mine, I also can't get enough of Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, a Quick Service restaurant, with an awesome patio and a great view of the hotel's pools. I like to mobile order here using the Disneyland Mobile App to beat the line!

Angela, I know you will have a magical stay no matter how you plan your visit! If you have any more questions or want to conspire more on dream Disneyland trips, please visit me again. I would be happy!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
