Hello! Considering the new restrictions on bus transport, is it possible to visit the Cake Bake Shop without a reservation or staying at the Boardwalk Resort? I was hoping to buy a slice during my stay, but will be staying at the cabins at Fort Wilderness.

    Howdy Brandy!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m excited to hear that you will soon be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. The BoardWalk has so many great places to eat, and The Cake Bake Shop Bakery has quickly become a favorite. This enchanting bakery offers delicious cakes, cookies, pies, macarons, coffee, croissants, and more. I tried the Millionaire Cake, and it was super yummy. I can’t recommend it enough. Let’s get to your question so you can get your cake and eat it too.

Alrighty, the best way to get from The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort to The Cake Bake Shop Bakery is to board the bus to EPCOT. From there, you can make your way around Canada towards France, exit the International Gateway, and make your way down the BoardWalk to the shop. You can also take transportation from the parks to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and walk over as well.

Since you will be there, I have to tell you about one of the best festivals of the year, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. You can embark on a culinary adventure across 6 continents, experiencing unique foods, drinks, and desserts at kiosks throughout World Showcase. You can also experience the Eat to the Beat Concert series with performers you know and love. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updated information.

Brandy, I hope you and your family have a magical time visiting the Cake Bake Shop Bakery and experiencing Walt Disney World. Please stop by anytime with your questions, and a fellow panelist or I will be happy to help you.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
