Hi Cynthia,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you visited us with your question about traveling between hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection.
If you want to use the complimentary
Disney transportation to go from the Yacht Club Resort to the Coronado Springs Resort, your best option is to take a bus from Hollywood Studios. To reach Hollywood Studios from the Yacht Club, you can walk (it takes about 20 minutes): catch the
Skyliner from the International Gateway entrance of Epcot (with a transfer at the Caribbean Beach station); or take a
Friendship Boat from the Yacht and Beach Club dock. I would estimate that it would take 30 to 40 minutes to travel by boat or Skyliner, depending on how busy they are.
I would allow at least an hour to make the total trip by Disney transportation. You can use the "Get Directions" feature in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App for turn-by-turn directions and time estimates.
I always like to build in even more travel time if I have a dining reservation. I'd rather be a little early and have time for a drink or to explore the resort than to be rushed.
An early arrival at Coronado will give you a chance to enjoy the view from the rooftop
Dahlia Lounge or to relax in the gorgeous atmosphere of the
Barcelona Lounge in the Gran Destino Tower before your dinner. (If you are dining at
Toledo, which I recommend, check out the Chef's Signature Dinner for Two, which we find easily feeds three. Delicious!)
Your other travel option would be a rideshare or
Minnie Van. That costs extra, of course, but the drive to Coronado Springs is short, less than 10 minutes. We stay at Coronado Springs frequently, and I've found rideshare prices to be reasonable between Coronado and the Yacht Club area.
I advocate using the free Disney transportation system whenever possible, but sometimes, especially before and after a nice dinner, I think it's worth the small splurge for a rideshare.
I hope that helps you make your plans, Cynthia. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions that come up as you anticipate your magical Walt Disney World vacation.
Enjoy,
Wilma
