Hey there, Krista!
Thanks for stopping by with a question for me today. I'm happy to help!
Lightning Lane Passes can be purchased 7 days before check-in for guests of Disney Resorts Collection hotels, and 3 days before ticket start date for off-site guests. I'd recommend finalizing your dates of visit before purchasing any passes, keeping
package cancelation policies in mind. However, I know that sometimes even the best-laid plans need to be adjusted last minute so rest assured that you'll still have some options.
Lightning Lane Passes can be modified after purchase, subject to availability. Let's say you purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for one of your park days, but later realize you need to change your date of visit. In that case, you should be able to edit the date and time of your purchase to another date as long as return windows are available on the new date. You'll also need to make sure your new date of visit is within the eligible booking window. If you need to
delay your trip outside of the range eligible for modification your purchases should still be available within the app at that time, but you can contact a Cast Member by phone or the chat feature in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App for assistance.
The same would be true if you needed to switch your Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections to a different date or even a different park, again assuming your selected experiences still have availability on the new date. In addition, if you originally purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, for example, and decide you'd rather visit Magic Kingdom Park, you can edit your starting park in the My Disney Experience Mobile App,
paying any difference in cost at that time. Keep in mind, that this can only be changed before you have scanned into the park for the day. If you purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a more expensive park yet decide to visit a less expensive park, you will not be refunded any difference in price when modifying.
Finally, if you will be visiting with
Park Hopper Option tickets or an Annual Pass you'd need to redeem one of your initial 3 experiences at your starting park before booking additional selections at another park. You can visit with a member of the Guest Experience Team in the parks if you need any technical assistance on-site.
I hope this helped, Krista. If I can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let me know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
