    Cancellation policy

    Hello Matthew!

Thanks for stopping by with your question. It looks like you have a visit on the horizon, but I know that sometimes plans are forced to shift with the tides. Let's talk through all the cancellation details so you can make an informed decision regarding your vacation.

If you have a room and ticket vacation package booked directly through the Walt Disney Travel Company, you can cancel without penalty up to 30 days before your arrival. If you cancel between 2 and 29 days before your check-in date, you will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of $200 per package. If you cancel your package 1 day or less before your scheduled arrival or no-show, you will forfeit the full cost of the package, and no refunds will be issued. If you'd like to change your package dates instead of canceling, a change fee may apply. Keep in mind that refunds may not be issued for any package items provided by third-party providers, including non-refundable travel protection plans, as indicated in the Walt Disney Travel Company Terms and Conditions

The terms are a bit different for resort-only stays, and for theme park tickets purchased à la carte, with or without a resort room reservation. Guests may cancel a room-only reservation for a full refund up to 8 days before their check-in date. Cancellations within 0-7 days of arrival will forfeit a deposit equal to one night's stay plus tax, which was paid at the time of booking. Additionally, theme park tickets are considered non-refundable and non-transferable, but you can change the date on unused standard theme park tickets online. Note that the amount paid for unused expired tickets can be applied to new tickets as long as they are of equal or greater value than the original price paid.

If and when you decide to make changes to your plans, you may be able to modify, update, or cancel your package or reservation online, depending on the booking type. If you do not see the option to cancel online, you can reach out to a Cast Member by phone for assistance. They'll be able to confirm any fees or refunds due and assist in booking new dates that might work better for you.

Matthew, I hope this helps. If we can answer any additional questions or offer guidance for your planned visit, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're always happy to help!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
