How do I buy a memory card or MagicBand for my photos if I already purchased the Memory Maker service?

    Hello again, Romina!

We love repeat customers here at planDisney, and I especially love chatting about my favorite Disney vacation souvenir- the photos!

I'm so glad that you've already purchased Memory Maker for your visit, as it's the best way to get the whole group in the picture. Disney PhotoPass photographers are seriously amazing at capturing all those magical moments and know just how to get everyone posed and giggling at more than 175 locations. Their green costumes are pretty easy to spot, but you can review PhotoPass locations in your My Disney Experience app, as my panel pal Lauren shared here.

There are a few different ways you can make sure your photos get linked to your My Disney Experience account, so let's discuss. I like linking with my MagicBand+ since it's hands-free and saves me from digging through my park bag over and over. Once your photographer is finished snapping photos, they'll tap a device to your band, which will link your images faster than Lightning McQueen crossing the finish line. You'll likely see new photos in your gallery within a minute or so, though any Magic Shots captured during the session can take a bit longer to appear. MagicBand+ can be purchased in most merchandise locations, so feel free to peruse your resort gift shop or check out larger stores near the park entrances like Emporium at Magic Kingdom Park or Creations Shop at EPCOT, depending on where you plan to begin your adventures.

If you don't find a band to suit your style, not to worry! Cast Members have photo cards available that you can use to link new photos through the remainder of your trip. You can also use the linking code in your My Disney Experience app instead of a physical card. To locate this, click the feature menu (☰)  at the bottom right of your app, then scroll down to select "Photo Gallery" under the Disney PhotoPass heading. Next, click the three dots in the top right corner and select "Link Photos." You'll see the option to scan or manually input any physical photo cards you receive from photographers and an option to "Show PhotoPass Code." Present the QR code on this screen to photographers in place of a MagicBand or photo card, and the images will appear in your gallery. Hot Tip: You can save a screenshot of this code to your phone's favorites folder to avoid scrolling and searching the app each time.

You will likely see watermarks over your images until you activate your Memory Maker purchase. To do so, click on an image captured on the first day of your visit, then follow the prompts below to download. Be sure to download your images before they expire 45 days from the date of capture. I shared some tips and tricks for downloading, plus troubleshooting missing photos in this recent answer

Romina, we're wishing you a picture-perfect vacation. Come back and see us again anytime!

    Magic and memories,
