Hi Kaylie,
Welcome to planDisney! A Walt Disney World vacation is even more special when extra members of the family can join in the fun, even if it's just for a little while.
Unless adding your brother would exceed the capacity for the room you have booked, it should be possible to amend your room reservation to include him. Our adult daughter occasionally decides to join my husband and me at the last minute, and I have added her to our reservation with a minimal additional cost per night. It's usually about $25-$35, depending on the resort. Prices may vary and are subject to change.
Because your brother is only joining for part of your visit, it's probably a little tricky to make the change online. I would call the
Walt Disney World Tickets & Hotel Reservations line and speak with a cast member to make the modification.
If your brother decides not to share your room, he can visit you as a day guest, subject to availability during the busiest times. When he arrives at your resort, he should give your name and room number and show ID to be directed to parking.
Even though your brother doesn't plan to visit the parks with you, there's still lots of magic in the resorts and
Disney Springs. Those non-theme park days are perfect for lounging by your resort pool, playing a game of
miniature golf, grabbing a delicious dinner (I strongly recommend making
advanced dining reservations), shopping, exploring the
BoardWalk, people watching and catching up on your sibling conversations.
Thanks for stopping by with your question, Kaylie. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as your vacation nears.
Enjoy,
Wilma
