I bought a 2-day Disney World ticket after February 24. I want to change it to a hopper ticket, but it can't be changed. What's the reason?

    Hello Jongwoo!

Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you stopped by with a question today and thrilled to hear you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort next February. There is plenty of magic in store across the theme parks so I understand why you'd want to maximize the fun and hop between them during your visit. I often like splitting my day between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park since they are just a Monorail ride away.

I believe you had to utilize a travel agent to purchase your existing tickets, so I'm hopeful you can reach back out to them for assistance in upgrading from 1 park per day to Park Hopper Option tickets. I don't have access to your ticket or vacation package details so unfortunately, I can't offer a single reason why you aren't able to upgrade. In some cases, tickets simply cannot be upgraded online or within the My Disney Experience App but Cast Members are usually able to assist by phone. I'd recommend having your travel agent reach out on your behalf to see what your options are and confirm whether there are any restrictions for your particular package.

But don't worry if you aren't able to make the necessary changes before your visit. As long as you have admission entitlements available you should be able to upgrade in person and pay the remaining balance at the ticket window in any theme park when you arrive. You can also visit Guest Relations within the parks as panelist Amy K. suggests. I'd recommend doing this as early as possible in your trip to make the most of the park hopper upgrade.

Since your travel dates are after January 9th, 2024, you'll be able to enjoy all-day park hopping, subject to availability, during your trip. I'm so excited this benefit is finally returning and look forward to tackling another 4 parks in 1-day challenge when I visit with a friend in late January. We plan to start our day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park then hop over to Disney's Hollywood Studios late morning. After some snacks and Toy Story land fun we'll head to EPCOT before ending our day at Magic Kingdom Park. I've promised my friend a nighttime ride on TRON Lightcycle/Run Powered by Enterprise so I hope our itinerary goes according to plan. Fingers crossed!

If you have additional planning questions or need any suggestions for maximizing your park hopping experience please come back and let us know. We're always glad to lend a helping hand!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
