Welcome Home, Tosin! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney. It's always the best day ever when I get to talk about all things
Disney Vacation Club with a fellow Member. Navigating the ins and outs of using your
Vacation Points is serious DVC business, so I completely appreciate wanting to check your math to see if you can make your next dream Disney adventure a reality. Let's get right to it!
This situation feels so familiar to me--and probably to other Members, as well! Banking and borrowing your
Vacation Points is a wonderful feature of DVC Membership that allows for flexibility in how you vacation. However, these transactions can be confusing, so I want to share some general resources that I have bookmarked for my own planning purposes that may help you get the most magic out of your Membership.
- This overview of how to bank and borrow points has always been quite helpful for me to think through how I can use my Vacation Points between Use Years.
- I really love this chart of banking deadlines--I have ours on the online family calendar with reminders set so I don't miss it when life gets busy!
Tosin, based on the information supplied in your question, it appears that you cannot use the points from your 2027 Use Year for a February 2026 reservation. You will receive your annual allotment of points for your 2025 Use Year on August 1, 2025--the reservation in question falls within that Use Year. This means you can borrow points from the
2026 Use Year, but the 2027 points will not be available.
I do want to be clear that I may be missing some key details as I don't have full knowledge of the specifics of your Membership. You absolutely should contact
Member Services, where they can easily pull up your Membership and walk you through how points can be used. I chat with the Cast Members there quite regularly for planDisney research, and they are always incredibly helpful!
I'm sorry this wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but hopefully, the wizards at Member Services can make some suggestions that can make your vacation dreams come true. Thank you again for visiting planDisney, and please come back anytime if we can help with other questions.
Stay Magical!
Susan
