Christmas on Main Street

I am attending the Christmas special event on our first day and have another 3 day pass for the next 3 days. Since there is no physical tickets to scan, how do I make sure they will scan the special event, instead of the 3 day pass?

    Hi Thu, welcome to planDisney!

It won't be long before the Mickey pumpkin wreaths on Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom Park are replaced by evergreen and ornaments. Seasonal parties like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park and the all-new Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios are a great way to add tinsel to an already magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation. On party days, my family likes to enjoy a resort day. We hang out at the pool and take an afternoon power nap, which helps us stay up past Cinderella's curfew.

Special events like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights require special event tickets. It sounds like you already have a special event ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account, which should appear online and in the My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the app's homepage > Tickets and Passes). Well done! The method of entry you use to enter a theme park each day (MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) is connected to all of the tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account, but the Mickey tapstile will know you're checking in for your special event because special event tickets are date-based. Additionally, it sounds like you will not have a theme park reservation for your party date, which is required to enter a park each day using your 3-day pass.

Speaking of theme park reservations, which are required for all general admission theme park tickets through January 8, 2024, please make sure everyone in your party has one for each park day. If you happen to have tickets with the Park Hopper Option, you only need a theme park reservation for the first theme park you plan to enter each day.

The issue of ticket prioritization has come up with me in the past, Thu, and I'm so glad you reached out with this concern before your trip. I hope I've given you some peace of mind about the streamlined process you should experience tapping in at the theme parks each day. Please don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney with any other questions about your holly jolly holiday.

    Choose magic,
