Hi Katherine, welcome to planDisney!
This answer comes with a disclaimer. If you shift your Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket's date range earlier, you'll still want to go later. That's because once you experience the radical hospitality of Disney Cast Members and the innovative thrills like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, you'll start planning your next trip before you've returned home from your first. Consider yourself warned, haha!
You can adjust the date range of most theme park tickets
online by clicking the blue "Change Ticket" letters that appear in the lefthand column of information about each ticket in your My Disney Experience account. The same can be done in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (three small lines at the bottom right of the app's homepage > Tickets and Passes > scroll to desired ticket > Change Ticket). Kindly note that an additional cost applies if you change your dates to dates with higher ticket prices. In addition to changing your dates, you can use your My Disney Experience account to change the duration of your ticket and/or the ticket type. If you experience any tech trouble during the modification process, a helpful Cast Member at (407) 939-6244 is ready to assist from 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. EST.
Theme park reservations are not required for date-based tickets after January 9, 2024. If you plan to visit before that, each Guest in your party requires a theme park reservation for each park day. Other dates to note are the opening dates of
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana (October 16, 2023) and "Luminous The Symphony of Us" (December 5, 2023).
My husband proposed to me three months early because he was "too excited to sleep!" That story has a happy ending, as will yours, Katherine. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
