Hey there, Khary!
Oh boy! It sounds like you and your son are gearing up for a magical adventure at Disneyland! Whether you’re ready to soar with
Peter Pan, zip around with
Lightning McQueen, or just soak in all the sights and sounds, I’m here to make sure your visit is as smooth as
Dole Whip. Let’s dive into some tips to help your son navigate the parks comfortably so you can both focus on the fun!
Renting a wheelchair or
ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicle) scooter is a great way to help your son enjoy the parks with ease! You can conveniently rent one just outside the theme park entrance, east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Heads up, though—they can't be reserved in advance, so arriving early is a smart move. I’d suggest getting there about 30 minutes before the parks open, which will be
8:00 AM on September 15th.
When you rent a manual wheelchair or an ECV, you make a $20 deposit on top of the rental fee. At the time that I am writing this, manual wheelchairs can be rented for $15 per day, and ECV rental is $60 per day. But Khary, just remember that prices can change at any time.
And Khary, have you heard about the
Disability Access Service (DAS)? It’s a great resource that could be really helpful. DAS allows Guests with special needs to navigate the parks more comfortably and efficiently—quicker than Lightning McQueen’s famous “
Ka-chow!”
With DAS, you can either
request a video meeting before your visit or head over to an
Accessibility Services Kiosk during your visit. The friendly Cast Members there are super helpful and can assist with any specific requests you might have.
I hope these tips help you prepare for a smooth visit to the Happiest Place On Earth, Khary! I'm as excited as you are for your visit in just a few short days - the countdown is on! Feel free to
message me directly for a quicker response.
