We’re planning a trip as a family for this upcoming November. My mother has difficultly with walking and we would like to rent her an ECV at the park daily. Do we need to schedule an appointment before our trip to prove proof of need?

    Hiya Kristen,

Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for your service and for submitting your question to us.

As a fellow planner, I am happy to see you plan a visit to Disneyland Resort! Planning the trip is one of my favorite parts. Don’t worry, there are services available for Guests who require mobility assistance (such as parking and restrooms), so your mother can enjoy the parks as much as you will!

The Disneyland Resort offers Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) to Guests for day-by-day rental. The Disneyland Resort has ECVs and wheelchairs available to rent on the east side of the main entrance. ECVs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved ahead of your visit. I recommend arriving early and going straight to the ECV rental to secure the ECVs before entering the Parks. Guests can also bring and use their own ECVs and/or wheelchairs and do not require an appointment to show proof of need.

If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
