Do I add kids as guests on the Walt Disney work app for purchasing lightning lane passes?

    Hello, Richard!

Welcome to planDisney! It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort visit is right around the corner, so let’s dive right into all the Lightning Lane details so you’re fully prepared for a most magical trip.

Guests with eligible resort reservations can begin purchasing Lightning Lane Passes 7 days before their check-in date, while off-site guests can purchase 3 days before their ticket start date. Based on your arrival date of April 5th, you are already well within your purchase window regardless of your lodging plans. I recommend reviewing park options and attraction arrival windows using the My Disney Experience app as soon as possible, as availability may be limited this close to your visit (especially during the busy spring break season).

Before purchasing, make sure everyone in your party is connected through your Family & Friends List and has valid theme park admission linked. Little ones under the age of 3 aren’t required to have tickets, and as such, you will not need to purchase passes for them. They will simply go through the Lightning Lane entrance with you at your selected attractions as long as they meet the height requirements. If not, ask Cast Members about Rider Switch when you arrive.

Now for some helpful tips. Head to the app home screen and click the "Purchase" button for Multi Pass/Single Pass or Premier Pass. Next, choose your date of visit and desired park, then select your party by placing a check next to each linked/ticketed guest’s name. Note that you can purchase Multi Pass and Single Pass selections in a single transaction for each day you plan to visit, but the selections will apply to everyone you include in your planning party.  If you have younger riders who won’t meet fit height requirements for Single Pass experiences, you should purchase those in a separate transaction for just the adult riders.

I hope this clears up any confusion, Richard. If you have additional questions, please come back and let us know, or reach out to a Cast Member using the chat feature in the My Disney Experience app. Wishing you a magical vacation!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
