Will we be able to schedule our Genie+ lightening lane options on 7/24

    Hello there, Bonnie!

In the words of Rapunzel, "This is it. This is a very big day, Pascal!" July 24, 2024, marks the start of a brand new era of vacation planning at Walt Disney World Resort. Lightning Lane Passes will replace Disney Genie+ Service at 7 a.m. EST that day and will offer guests the ability to purchase and pre-plan eligible attraction return times for their length of stay or multi-day ticket. The timing will depend on where you're staying for your upcoming visit. So let's discuss!

If you are a guest of a Disney Resorts Collection hotel (or another eligible resort) you can begin planning 7 days before your check-in date. If you'll be checking in on July 31, then you'll have access to plan day-by-day for your length of stay when the program launches. If you are staying off-property you'll be able to plan 3 days before your ticket start date, which in the case of a July 31 ticket start, would be July 28. You'll still be able to make selections for each day of your ticket, but the extra few days of advance planning are reserved for on-site guests.

As you begin coordinating your park itineraries, be sure to review the Multi Pass attraction groupings at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. You'll be able to select one attraction from the first group, and 2 from the second group. Subsequent selections can be made for attractions in either group, subject to availability, once you redeem one of your initial 3 selections. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park does not have attraction grouping restrictions, at this time.

You'll also have the option to purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass for up to 2 experiences per day in addition to or instead of attractions booked with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. These can be purchased according to the same timing guidelines indicated above.

I hope this clears up any confusion, Bonnie. Now, the only remaining question is, what will you choose first? Please come back and see us again with more planning questions. Wishing you a wonderful visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
