Our 12-year-old has celiac disease and is gluten-free. Could you recommend your favorite snack stations/special gluten-free snacks we should absolutely get for her while we’re at the Orlando parks. Meals are usually not a problem. Thanks!

Hey there! Hi there, Uma! It won't be long before Mickey and Minnie welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Hot dog!

My niece has several food allergies, and I was worried she might have challenges on our trip to Walt Disney World. I am all about the snacks! She assuaged all my worries with two words: DOLE Whip! These magnificent delights are gluten, nut, and dairy-free. They are iconic! It made my heart happy that we could enjoy these together!

For me, no trip is complete without a Mickey ice cream bar (and a photo of it with Cinderella Castle in the background). These ice cream bars are gluten-free as well.

And you are not limited to frozen treats. Everything tastes better when it's Mickey-shaped, including Mickey Pretzels. As popcorn scents fill the air, this is also gluten-free. Disney released some new holiday-themed popcorn buckets for some seasonal flair.

One of my other favorites is the macarons in Les Halles. They are divine! The lines are long, but with good reason. I haven't asked about the risk of cross-contamination here, so I encourage you to speak with a Cast Member there to be on the safe side.

Churros are making their way from Disneyland Resort to Walt Disney World. My friend Jenna is a huge fan of Nomad Lounge and its gluten-free churros.

Another Disneyland treat I have recently seen on the East Coast: pickles. I love pickles, so I tried one at Disneyland Park this past summer. Sweet, salty, cool and crisp... I quickly understood why they were popular there, and why I am now seeing them at Walt Disney World.

While you know you will have options at meals, Jenna shares great advice about dining with gluten allergies. I thought you might like to read her tips.

Uma, I hope you and your family have a magical time on your trip! If you have any questions about ingredients, please ask a Cast Member on site. If they do not know the answer, they will find someone who does. They really are the best! And when you are ready to plan your next vacation (like booking a room with the bounceback offer), please come see us again at planDisney!

    Magic Awaits!
