Hiya, Harrison, and thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Hakuna Matata! That means no worries! One of the reasons I love visiting the Disney Parks is their dedication to ensuring that all Guests are able to experience the magic. I’ll be happy to dive into the
resources and accommodations available to ensure that your mother is comfortable during your vacation.
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) and manual wheelchair rentals are available at the Stroller Shop right outside the theme parks, east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. Currently, the pricing is $60/day for EVC rentals and $15 for manual wheelchair rentals. All rentals require a refundable deposit of $20. Pricing and terms are subject to change at any time.
Please keep in mind that these ECVs and wheelchairs may not be reserved in advance. Your family will need to arrive early as they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, rentals must be returned at the end of each park day.
However, if you are staying at
one of the Disneyland Resort hotels, you can
pre-order a mobility rental for the length of your stay through Disney’s Featured Provider, ScooterBug. They will deliver the mobility device to you at your hotel, and this would eliminate the hassle of waking up early to secure a rental at the park each day.
Bonus Tip: Before your visit, review the
Accessibility Planning Guide and Recommendations resource. You will find the Accessing Attraction Queues section (pages 15-17) very helpful. It provides tips and techniques to make your ride wait times more comfortable as you navigate the parks with a mobility device.
Harrison, I hope this information is helpful and that you and your family have a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to come back and see us here at planDisney.
Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Karmeen
