How ya doin', Dale, and welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you and your wife are just chippin' away the days until it's time for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. And with your little 18-month-old acorn in tow, y'all are in for a magical time. Seeing the place through a little one's eyes is so special, but it can sometimes require a little extra thought when riding more intense attractions. But I'm happy to walk you through
Rider Switching, Lightning Lanes, and how they work for a family like yours.
When utilizing
Lightning Lane Passes, all Guests that plan to ride an attraction will need to have one. Rider Switch just allows the second grown-up not to have to wait in the queue all over again. Here's how the actual process works:
Step 1: Book the desired Lightning Lanes for you and your wife. Your little one doesn't need one since they won't be riding.
Step 2: Arrive at the attraction and let the Cast Member at the entrance know you would like to switch riders.
Step 3: Parent 1 will go and ride the attraction while Parent 2 and the baby wait outside. Once Parent 1 is done, they'll come back and take over baby duty while Parent 2 gets their turn.
Dale, like a certain pair of mischief-making chipmunks, you and your wife will be able to scamper from ride to ride with your happy little adventurer on your hip or in that stroller. I hope your trip is full of magic and enough shenanigans to make Chip and your namesake, Dale, proud. If you have any other questions,
please come back for another chat. We're the original Rescue Rangers over here!
Happy planning!
