Why was there no firework shows for Sweethearts Nite this year?

    Heigh-Ho, Mariela!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you were missing those extra sparks of love in the air at the Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts' Nite this month. Several of the earlier nights included a dazzling fireworks display. However, fireworks at the Disneyland Resort are always dependent on weather conditions and are subject to change or cancellation.

On the night that I visited with my Prince Charming, there was a nighttime spectacular that did not include the use of pyrotechnics. A historic storm decided to crash the party, reminding us of the timeless lesson from our Elemental friends— fire and water? Not always a good mix. Safety always comes first for guests and cast members alike. But don't worry, the magic of Sweethearts Nite was stronger than fireworks. We got to ride everything available in Fantasyland with no wait at all and even had a decadent feast at Café Orleans. Every moment was a story unfolding with or without a fiery sky.

I hope this sheds some light on your question, Mariela– the magic of Disneyland doesn't rely on fireworks alone. Every nook and cranny is bursting with stories and surprises. So, whether the night sky is lighting up or not, the magic is always in full swing. If you ever need more tips on how to plan an enjoyable visit to the parks, you can always visit us again.

Embrace the light while it burns because it won't always last forever,
