I am planning a trip to Disneyland during Season of the Force and am going try to get tickets for one of the Star Wars nights. I would like to know if there are going to be fireworks and/or projections during this special event. Thank you for your help.

Greetings, Amy! Thank you for visiting planDisney again with your out-of-this-galaxy question.

Season of Force at Disneyland Park is sure to be a thrilling experience. Like you, my family is also hoping to snag those coveted Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite tickets. There are so many things to look forward to at the specially-ticketed event, including a lightsaber instructional and the Fans of the Force Costume Cavalcade, which invites Guests dressed in Star Wars costumes to join the march down Main Street, U.S.A.! Perhaps my favorite part of the after-hours events is the 3-hour mix-in and the, generally, shorter wait times for attractions... or the special character interactions... or the special photo ops. Okay, there is just SO much galactic fun to look forward to!

Amy, I have good news. The Disney Parks Blog stated that during Season of the Force, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will provide a fresh perspective on the fireworks at Disneyland, with galactic music sweeping through the spires. This seems to be a unique addition during Season of the Force and does not seem specific to Star Wars Nite! I hope that you will also enjoy the return of Hyperspace Mountain and new adventures aboard Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.

Another fun activity that I encourage you to try is the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. For this, you will need to purchase a MagicBand+ and download the Play Disney Parks app (available for iOS or Android). Then, get a bounty assignment from the job board in Galaxy's Edge and watch as your MagicBand+ interacts by vibrating and illuminating, indicating that you are on the right path toward virtual bounty. You can use the Play Disney Parks app's augmented reality thermal viewer to reveal who's lurking in the shadows. It's a fun activity for any Star Wars fan!

I hope this information answers your question, Amy. Please feel free to jump to lightspeed back to planDisney with any other questions!

May the Force be with you.
