Welcome to planDisney, Tamara!
It’s wonderful to hear that your whole family, including your dad, will be enjoying the magic at Disneyland Resort this fall! Walt Disney's dream was to create theme parks that the whole family could enjoy together, and there are so many rides that make that dream a reality.
Renting a wheelchair or
ECV (Electric Convenience Vehicle) scooter for your dad is a fantastic idea to make sure everyone has a smooth and enjoyable experience. You can easily rent a wheelchair right outside the theme park entrance. The rental location is conveniently situated to the east of Disneyland Park’s Main Entrance.
Heads up, though—wheelchairs can’t be reserved in advance, so arriving early is a smart move. I’d suggest getting there
about 30 minutes before the parks open. This way, you’ll have the best chance of getting the wheelchair you need without any delays.
Here’s a quick rundown of the rental process: the person who is operating the wheelchair signs a rental agreement. Next, you’ll need to make a deposit on top of the rental fee. At the time that I am writing this, manual wheelchairs can be rented for $15 per day, and ECV rental is $60 per day. But Khary, just remember that prices can change at any time.
I hope this helps you get everything ready for a magical day at the Happiest Place on Earth, Tamara! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, just
drop me another message, so that I can answer faster than McQueen can say “
Ka-chow!”
Life is a Highway!
