Hi! I’ve got a week-long trip scheduled at end of Sept - I’m out of state, but wanted ti assess if the annual pass would save me anything on my Rez thus far. I’m planning on 1-2 more shorter trips min, but wanted to check on savings before purchasing.

    Hi Alex!

Welcome to planDisney! As an out-of-state Annual Passholder myself, I’m happy to help you weigh your options!

To start off, I’d recommend crunching some numbers. Depending on how you usually like to plan out your park days, how many trips you plan to take, and what time of year you like to travel to Disney World, the math might look different from what it does for me. An Annual Pass will include park hopping, so I would take that into consideration when looking at the difference in ticket pricing. You can find the Annual Pass pricing at this link

It’s also good to look at the other perks that come along with being an Annual Passholder. These perks can change over time and throughout the year, but they often include dining and merchandise discounts. At times, there are even some great discounts on resort stays (here are the current resort special offers for Annual Passholders!). Depending on how you use those discounts, they can also be taken into account when you’re looking at the pricing difference for your overall vacation.

Now, this last point goes beyond the math behind it all, but it’s my personal favorite thing about being an Annual Passholder. With an Annual Pass, I love that I can pop into a theme park for just a couple of hours if I want. That’s something I’d never personally do with a regular park ticket because I always feel like I want to make the most out of those tickets!

If I want to stop by the park on my arrival day, even though my flight got in a little later, no problem! If I want to grab dinner at the park after a day at the pool, I can do that! Having an Annual Pass really allows me to have a more flexible, laid-back trip.

I know I can’t make the decision for you, but I hope that gives you some guidance! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan, feel free to come back and visit us. We’re always happy to help!
