Hi Ellen, and welcome to planDisney! Like you, I’m also always watching that
Special Offers page on the Disney World website. After all, every bit saved is more money for all the Mickey-shaped snacks! Now, let’s chat about what discounts you can take advantage of for your upcoming trip.
The
4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket promotion that you mentioned (for date-based tickets with start dates from May 26 to September 26, 2026) is a special offer in conjunction with all the fun happenings for
Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. Currently, there isn’t anything similar for the week of May 10th that’s open to all guests.
If you’re a Disney+ subscriber enrolled in Disney+ Perks, you can buy a 3-Day, 3-Park Ticket that can be used at Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom with start dates through May 22, 2026. And eligible military service members can purchase a
4-Day Disney Military Salute Ticket that also covers the week of May 10th.
However, I have a few other ideas for saving money on tickets! My family usually skips adding the
park hopper option to our tickets and focuses our time on one park per day. It’s easy to get excited and hop from park to park, trying to squeeze in as much as possible, but we’ve found that focusing our time in one park lets us enjoy the more spontaneous moments, like stopping to watch
The Dapper Dans on Main Street, U.S.A., or taking a selfie with Kevin in Animal Kingdom.
Another idea is to spend a day at one of the
water parks. The tickets are less expensive than theme park tickets, and you still get fun Disney attractions and, of course, delicious food and snacks! I love to build in a water park day between theme park days. It’s the perfect way to relax, and I’m partial to the lazy rivers! Currently,
Blizzard Beach is open. And when
Typhoon Lagoon reopens on May 12, 2026, you’ll have two water parks to choose from!
And, finally, there’s so much to do at Disney World outside of the theme parks and water parks. So you might also want to build a non-park day into your vacation. Some of my family’s favorite things to do is dining and shopping at the other Disney resort hotels (we love eating breakfast with Mickey and friends at
Topolino’s Terrace), spending the day at
Disney Springs (besides dining and shopping, there’s lots of live entertainment), renting a pontoon boat to explore the waterways around Magic Kingdom, and visiting the BoardWalk to ride
Surrey bikes and play mini golf at the nearby
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways.
I hope this gives you some ideas for getting the most magic out of your upcoming vacation! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
