I am a Florida resident. Can I purchase a two-day pass to the Magic Kingdom? I will have a small child with me. Can we go back to the hotel for her nap midday and return to the Magic Kingdom?

    Hello friend,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm happy to answer planning questions for another Florida resident!

Walt Disney World offers a variety of discounted ticket packages for those of us who live in Florida. Those deals change from time to time, so I always recommend taking a look at the special offers for Florida residents when you are making your plans.

It looks like you are arriving on May 18. The Florida Resident ticket offer currently posted for that time period offers a reduced ticket price for a one-, three-, or four-day ticket. A two-day discounted ticket is not part of the promotion.

You can purchase tickets valid for two days at the same price offered to all guests. (If the child accompanying you is younger than 3, she will not need a ticket, and there's a reduced ticket price for ages 3 through 9.)

You are more than welcome to leave the theme parks at any point during the day and return later. You can use that time to go back to your resort for a nap or a swim or to visit a nearby resort for lunch or a snack. Even though we haven't had a little one in many years, my family still likes to take a quiet time break in the afternoon to rest and recharge.

I hope that helps you as you finalize your plans for your visit next month. Please let us know if you have other questions. We're always happy to share information from our personal experience to help you personalize your magical vacation.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
