I'm a Florida resident a senior And I wanna take my niece Down to Disney world And I don't have a clue where to begin to plan this trip

    Hi Donna!

Thanks for stopping by to be part of our world at planDisney!  I always start planning my trip by first thinking about when I want to visit.  My favorite times of year to visit are just around the corner with events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey's Very Mery Christmas Party, and Disney Jollywood Nights offering fabulous ways to celebrate the seasons.  You can also find some amazing festivals with the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival set to begin on August 29 and running through November 23, followed by the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.  These each feature some amazing food and wonderful entertainment.  I can't wait to take my boys on the Holiday Cookie Stroll this December!

Once you've decided when you want to visit, you can start booking a hotel stay and purchasing tickets.  As a Florida Resident, you'll want to check out some of the great deals available exclusively to you.  Donna, I'm not sure if your niece also lives in Florida, but it is important to note that Florida residency must be verified for anyone over the age of 18 using a Florida Resident ticket.  With more than two dozen hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection, there is something for every price range and vacation preference.  I recommend starting your search by checking out some of the moderate resorts for a great combination of comfort, value, amenities, and theming.  In this category, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is my favorite due in large part to the Disney Skyliner which provides easy access to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Regardless of which Disney Resorts Collection property you choose, you'll enjoy some great benefits of being a resort Guest like complimentary transportation and Early Theme Park Entry!

After booking your room and purchasing your tickets, it's all about the little details!  Advanced dining reservations are available and recommended for Table-Service restaurants.  If you're staying in the Disney Resorts Collection, you can begin making those reservations 60 days before your arrival for the entire length of your stay.  As you plan your "must-do" rides and attractions in the parks, don't forget there a many time-saving tools like Disney Genie+ and Virtual Queues to help you maximize your day!

Donna, if you have more questions or would like additional recommendations, please stop by to see me or my panelist pals again - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon!
