We have an upcoming trip in May. We have reservations for breakfast at the Cake Bake Shop Restaurant for myself, my 12 yr old & 2 yr old. My question: Is everyone in our party required to order a breakfast entree?

Welcome back to planDisney, Megan! We just love hearing from our return Guests. It’s like catching up with an old friend!

The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers is truly one of the most whimsical and charming spots you’ll find at Walt Disney World. I recently celebrated my 25th anniversary there, and it was every bit as magical as I had hoped it would be. The sparkling decor, attentive service, and dreamy desserts made the evening unforgettable. We were there for dinner, and while I wasn’t super hungry, I ended up ordering a bowl of their famous Chicken Velvet Soup and an appetizer, and that was more than enough for me. Based on that experience, I feel confident saying that breakfast will be just as flexible, and you won’t be required to order a full entrée for each person in your party.

Especially with your 2-year-old, sharing is totally fine! Little ones often don’t eat full meals, and the restaurant understands that. In fact, there’s a Children’s Breakfast Menu with smaller portions and kid-friendly options like Chocolate Chip Belgian Waffles, and the prices on the kids’ menu are very reasonable.

For yourself, I’ve heard wonderful things about the Quiche and the Croque-Madame, and if you’re craving something sweet, the Cinnamon Toast Brioche Bites are calling your name! And let’s not forget, this place has edible glitter on just about everything, including their lattes. It's like Tinker Bell sprinkled the place in pixie dust!

Since The Cake Bake Shop is located at Disney’s BoardWalk, you’ll have a beautiful view of Crescent Lake as you dine. It’s a lovely place to celebrate anything special or just to treat yourself to a moment of beauty and indulgence. Yes, it’s a little on the pricier side, but you’re not just paying for a meal; you’re paying for the atmosphere, the service, and the overall experience. And if you’re too full for dessert, the bakery side is right next door, so you can take a slice of cake to go. The Raspberry Champagne is my personal favorite, but if you’re a chocolate lover, you must try Gwendolyn’s Famous Earl’s Court Chocolate Cake. It’s truly decadent!

If you’re planning to drive, just show the Cast Members your dining reservation in the My Disney Experience app, and you’ll be able to park at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

Megan, as Winnie the Pooh would say, “I have a Rumbly in my Tumbly” just thinking about all the deliciousness that awaits you! Wishing you the sweetest breakfast ever!

    Warmly,
    Eean
