Hello, Lynda!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney. I'm glad that you are already thinking about your Lightning Lane strategy. It's the best way to maximize your time in the parks!
I checked with a Cast Member, and
Lightning Lane Multi Pass can’t be applied toward the purchase of
Lightning Lane Premier Pass at this time. I'm sorry! However, hope is not lost! At Disneyland Resort, Guests can typically purchase Multi Pass either when buying theme park tickets on the Disneyland website or after scanning into a park each day. Multi Pass can't be purchased separately ahead of time (which is different from how it works at Walt Disney World Resort).
If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, you could skip adding Multi Pass for now and try getting the Premier Pass instead. The Premier Pass can be purchased up to 7 days before your visit (starting bright and early at 7:00 AM Pacific Time!) right in the
Disneyland app. Availability is limited, so if you’re unable to snag it, you can still try purchasing Multi Pass once you enter the park each morning. In my experience, Multi Pass rarely sells out. As a Magic Key passholder, I can't buy it ahead of time, and I’ve never had trouble getting it after scanning in.
Another option is to make it a practically perfect day and purchase both Multi Pass and Premier Pass. Talk about a dream come true! Since each pass can be used up to once per attraction per day, you could potentially enjoy your favorites twice, with one being a scheduled ride using Multi Pass and the other being an anytime‑you‑wish arrival using Premier Pass. Imagine booking Space Mountain with Multi Pass, then blasting right back into hyperspace with Premier Pass. So fun!
Lynda, I hope this helps you plan a holly‑jolly visit during the
most festive time of the year! Keep an eye on the Disneyland website for updates on all the holiday magic beginning on November 18, 2026. If you have more questions, please send them our way!
Magic Happens!
Jen
