Hiya Jay,
Welcome to planDisney! It is an honor to be a part of your planning journey to the Most Magical Place on Earth (or the Happiest Place on Earth, depending on which coast you intend to visit).
Jay, if you are looking at the website and seeing
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park, you are in the beginning stages of visiting Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, consists of
Magic Kingdom Park,
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park,
EPCOT, and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios! As a reminder, Theme Park tickets are nontransferable (and nonrefundable). So tickets purchased for Disneyland Resort cannot be used at Walt Disney World Resort (and vice versa).
I do have some excellent news for you, Jay! If you plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort after January 8th, you do not need to make
Theme Park reservations for date-based tickets. So you can potentially save yourself that additional planning step. Guests are still required to make Theme Park reservations if they are using an Annual Pass, Disney Military Salute ticket, Sport and Convention ticket, or other non-date-based tickets.
If you need any Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort vacation tips, please come back and see us! We would be happy to help you have the most magical vacation, regardless of the destination on your upcoming itinerary.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
